This one-day tour from Yerevan is a journey into the very heart of Armenia's nature. The route includes: Lake Sevan & Sevanavank Monastery - our first stop is the "Blue Pearl" of Armenia. We will ascend the Sevan Peninsula to the 9th-century Sevanavank Monastery, which offers the best panoramic views over the entire lake. Dilijan Town - next, we'll head to the resort town of Dilijan, known as "Armenian Switzerland" for its dense forests and mild climate. We will stroll through its charming streets and see the famous monument to the heroes of the film "Mimino." Haghartsin Monastery - you will visit a 10th-13th century monastery complex lost in the woods—an incredibly serene and photogenic location. Goshavank Monastery - our final stop will be Goshavank (12th-13th centuries), famous for its unique "lace-like" khachkar (cross-stone)—one of the most masterfully crafted in Armenia.
This is a full-day, comprehensive tour. Its duration is 9-10 hours, which gives us plenty of time to enjoy all locations without rushing. The total round-trip distance by car from Yerevan is approximately 250 km (about 155 miles).
The cost of a private tour to Dilijan starts from 50,000 AMD and depends on your choice of vehicle (sedan, SUV, minivan, or minibus). The price includes: transfer from any point in Yerevan and back, a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle with a professional driver, bottled water during the trip, the opportunity for short photo stops. Not included: meals and guide services (available upon your request for an additional fee). The starting price is for a sedan and the whole vehicle with driver, not per person. Guide services cost extra for every vehicle category. Passenger insurance is not included in the tour price.
No, entrance to all monasteries on this route (Sevanavank, Haghartsin, Goshavank) is free of charge. Therefore, you will have no additional expenses for tickets, making this trip even more attractive.
A staircase of several hundred steps leads up to Sevanavank Monastery. The ascent requires a little physical effort but is quite manageable at a calm pace. The rest of the tour, including visits to Haghartsin and Goshavank, does not involve significant physical exertion and is suitable for travelers of all ages.
Yes, of course. Dilijan is famous for its restaurants where you can taste traditional dishes from northern Armenia. We will definitely set aside time for lunch. Our driver will be happy to recommend the best places, whether it's a charming restaurant in the forest or a cozy café in the city center where you can enjoy a delicious and affordable meal.
This tour runs year-round and is beautiful in every season. In summer, Dilijan offers a cool, green escape from the heat of Yerevan. However, the trip to Dilijan is especially picturesque in autumn, when the forests are painted in shades of gold and crimson. In winter, these areas turn into a true snowy fairy tale.
We offer exclusively private tours. This means that only you and your party will be in the vehicle. You get maximum comfort, flexibility in the itinerary, and personal attention, allowing you to explore Dilijan and Sevan at your own pace.
The weather in Dilijan and at Lake Sevan can be changeable. It is always a bit cooler here than in Yerevan, especially in the forested areas. We recommend bringing a light jacket or a warm sweater, even in the summer. Comfortable footwear is a must for walking around the monasteries and climbing up to Sevanavank.
Choose the date, passenger count and vehicle, add a paid guide if needed, then enter your contact details and send a booking request. Trip details are agreed during confirmation. No prepayment. Payment is made after the trip. Cash in AMD, USD, EUR, RUB or a transfer to an Armenian bank card. No card terminal in the car and no online card payment.
