This tour is the perfect way to see the main symbols of Armenia. The itinerary includes: Khor Virap Monastery - our first and main destination is the monastery at the foot of the mountain, offering the best view of Mount Ararat. It's a pilgrimage site associated with the Christianization of Armenia. Azat Reservoir - we will make a stop at a picturesque mountain reservoir to enjoy unusual landscapes and take beautiful photos. Charents' Arch - the second viewpoint on the route, offering another classic view of Mount Ararat. Garni Temple - a visit to the only surviving 1st-century pagan temple in the region. Geghard Monastery - exploration of the unique rock-carved monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Symphony of Stones - a walk to a natural wonder—the basalt columns in the Azat River gorge.

This is a full-day excursion, lasting 8-9 hours. The route is designed for you to visit two different geographical areas and enjoy all the sights. The total travel distance is approximately 200 km (about 124 miles).

The price for a private tour starts from 40,000 AMD per vehicle. Included in the price: transfer from any point in Yerevan and back, a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle with a professional driver, bottled water. Paid separately: entrance ticket to the Garni complex (approximately 1500 AMD), entrance to the "Symphony of Stones" (approximately 300 AMD), meals and guide services (at your request). Entrance to Khor Virap and Geghard monasteries is free. The starting price is for a sedan and the whole vehicle with driver, not per person. Guide services cost extra for every vehicle category. Passenger insurance is not included in the tour price.

This tour is ideal for those with limited time. It allows you to see two of the most popular attractions from different directions in a single day—Khor Virap in the south and Garni/Geghard in the east. You get the maximum experience while saving a full day of your vacation.

A stop for lunch is usually planned in the Garni area, after visiting the main sights of that part of the route. There are many authentic restaurants here with beautiful views of the gorge, where you can try traditional Armenian khorovats (barbecue), freshly baked lavash, and other national dishes.

Comfortable, seasonal clothing and walking shoes are recommended. For visiting the active monasteries of Khor Virap and Geghard, it is advisable to wear clothing that covers your shoulders and knees. Women should consider bringing a scarf or shawl to cover their heads when entering the churches.

Yes, all visitors have the unique opportunity to descend a narrow vertical ladder into the underground dungeon where, according to legend, Gregory the Illuminator, who baptized Armenia, was imprisoned for 13 years. The descent requires some caution.

The Azat Reservoir is a beautiful artificial body of water surrounded by rocky mountains. We make a short stop here because it is a very scenic and non-touristy spot that allows you to see a different, natural side of Armenia and take excellent panoramic photos.

Yes, this tour is perfect for families with children and people of all ages. It does not involve significant physical exertion (except for the voluntary descent into the Khor Virap pit) and offers a wide variety of experiences that will be interesting for everyone.
